On Monday, we saw the corn and soybean markets add more weather risk premium in with decent strength on the day. We were off the overnight highs as we saw wheat turn to the downside amid a new high in the U.S. dollar. The markets turn their attention to Monday afternoon’s Crop Progress report and more importantly Tuesday’s July WASDE report from USDA. Livestock market were mostly mixed on the day with cattle moving higher. We discuss the markets with John Heinberg of Total Farm Marketing. Learn more at https://www.totalfarmmarketing.com.

Then, we take a look at the weather forecast including rains in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota earlier this morning and the hot/dry forecast for this week. Eric Snodgrass of Nutrien joins to discuss on today’s show. Sign up for Eric’s daily weather newsletter for free here: https://info.nutrien.com/snodgrass_weather
