Day two of the Wheat Quality Council Hard Spring Wheat and Durum Tour continued on Wednesday finding more promising yields. Tour routes on Wednesday focused on northwestern, north central and central parts of North Dakota as they traveled from Mandan to Devils Lake. After day two, the tour found an average spring wheat yield of 47.7 bushels per acre and 39.9 bushels per acre for durum. That is slightly lower than the day one totals of 48.9 bushels per acre for spring wheat and 41.4 bushels per acre for durum.
The tour continues on day three Thursday by heading back to Fargo where the tour began on Tuesday. A final average yield for both spring wheat and durum will be released once the tour wraps up.
