Weekly Crop Progress Report- 8/29/22- Corn Down Slightly, Soybeans Unchanged

National corn ratings fell one percent in the good to excellent category this week while soybeans stayed unchanged on the national scale. Corn rated good to excellent now stands at 54% nationwide. It’s the fourth lowest rating for this time of year since the year 2000. Soybeans rated good to excellent stayed the same at 57% nationwide; still ahead of last year’s rating by one percent as of this week.

In North Dakota, corn rated 66% good to excellent as of Sunday. South Dakota corn stands at 51% good to excellent, Minnesota at 65% good to excellent and Iowa at 66% good to excellent this week.

Soybeans in North Dakota are rated 57% good to excellent, South Dakota soybeans stand at 55% good to excellent, Minnesota soybeans are rated 66% good to excellent and Iowa soybeans are 63% good to excellent as of Sunday.

Spring wheat nationwide went up four percent to now stand at 68% good to excellent. North Dakota spring wheat is 76% good to excellent, Minnesota at 85% good to excellent and South Dakota stands at 47% good to excellent as of Sunday.
