On Monday, we saw the wheat markets surge higher after Russia suspended their participation in the Ukraine grain deal on Saturday. Wheat pulled corn and soybeans higher as well on the day as we finished near or at the highs of the day by Monday’s close.

Today on the show, we discuss the latest Black Sea news and more market trade activity with two different guests. First, Kristi Van Ahn-Kjeseth of Van Ahn & Company joins us to provide her perspective.

Next, we discuss the market trade action and also dive into the hog market after it’s recent big rally. Mike Minor of Professional Ag Marketing joins us to talk about that.

Also, we can’t forget a look at the weather forecast for the week ahead. How are those harvest windows looking as we push to wrap things up across the Corn Belt? Eric Snodgrass of Nutrien joins us to discuss. Sign up for his daily weather newsletter here: https://info.nutrien.com/snodgrass_weather

***AUDIO ONLY*** We also listen back to our Midday Commentary with Arlan Suderman of StoneX and get his thoughts on the Russia/Ukraine situation and it’s impact on the market. We also discuss this week’s upcoming Federal Reserve meeting and more.
