(Grand Forks, ND) — Fufeng USA is proceeding with building its Grand Forks wet corn milling and biofermentation plant. The company announced yesterday that the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States had wrapped upon extensive review of the land acquisition. The CFIUS says it’s not taking anymore action related to the transaction. Fufeng USA says it’s pleased with the outcome.
Congressional leaders in North Dakota have raised concerns about the Chinese backed company’s plan to build a wet corn milling plant only miles from the Grand Forks Air Force base, citing it as a National security concern.
