(Midwest) — Economic growth is continuing to slow in the Midwest. The MidAmerica Business Conditions Index is 50.8, which still shows growth, but it’s down twenty points from early last year. The Index surveys business managers in nine Midwest states to gauge the business conditions in the region. The survey finds the greatest threats to business growth continue to be supply chain disruptions and the labor shortage.
